Metropolitan Center for Independent Living is a Choice Agency that provides personal care services to individuals with both visible and/or non-visible disabilities in the Consumer's home and community. SHIFTS: Days; Evenings; Over-nights; Holidays, On call and weekend hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide home based personal care assistance to Consumers in their homes. The Consumer decides what supports to provide to maintain his/her independence, directs DSP staff as to how to safely, and effectively meet their needs. Other job duties include: ensuring the safety and well-being of the Consumer; assisting Consumer with hygiene management (toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.); household management; documentation of daily activities; communication; concerns of the Consumer and the site, and community/social integration.

STARTING SALARY: PCA $15.25/hr. (Zero-10 Years PCA), DOQ including a $1.33 raise after completion of minimal online training courses or if applicant already is a CNA and the Consumer is receiving 12 hours of personal care services per day.

**We pay a flat $14.00/hr. for Homemaking Services**

REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age or older; provide proof that you are eligible to work in the U.S.; pass a criminal background check; have the ability to travel within the Seven-County Metropolitan area, and the ability to meet the expectations set forth by the Consumers and MCIL.

· Paid PCA/Homemaking Training

· Complete PCA Certificate Online

· Incentives for Referring DSPs to MCIL

Areas of Service: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties (The Seven-County Metropolitan areas).

PLEASE NOTE: As positions are located in different cities of the Metropolitan Area, periodic travel to the offices of the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living is required to perform the on-boarding process and payroll functions. MCIL is located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
