SUMMARY
Supervises and coordinates activities of department workers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure all employees in work area are working safely within the department and wearing proper PPE- Ensure area employees are following company quality policy
- Maintain production schedules by coordinating work flow, preparing tooling/fixtures, and helping in the setup of machines
- Verify work order operations are being completed and sign off on jobs as required by company policies
- Maintain outgoing quality and scrap rates within the department
- Coach/Train employees on proper techniques and machine operation
- Mentor new employees in the department to safely and properly run equipment and produce product within company standards
- Trouble shoot problem jobs and work with support groups to develop solutions
- Ensure tooling and equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
- Maintain area cleanliness and organization
- Run production as required to maintain production schedules and overall area productivity standards
