Acara Solutions is looking for an Industrial Engineer for our Client located in New Kensington, PA
- 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- The Industrial Engineer will oversee and improve production processes at the Large Drives factory in New Kensington, Pa.
- The successful candidate will support production with safe, lean, and reliable manufacturing solutions and improvements.
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Conducts time and motions studies and derives time standards for production calculations.
- Reviews bills of materials to develop and ensure material presentation and efficient organized layout.
- Understands and evaluated current processes to ensure standard work procedures (Operation Method Sheets) are developed and maintained.
- Creates and documents factory workstation/cell layouts.
- Evaluates labor hours and opportunities for improvement where labor standards prove inefficient.
Pay and Benefits:
- The Salary for this position is $30.56 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years' Experience with Time studies
- Minimum of 3 years' Experience with Bill of Material and process routing maintenance
- Minimum of 3 years' Experience with layout work (equipment and workstation)
- Minimum of 3 years' Experience with process evaluation and improvement
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
- SAP experience
- Experience utilizing problem solving tools & quality assurance methodologies including Plan-Do-Check-Act (A3), 8D, Kaizen, Lean Cell Design, Error-Proofing, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, 5-Why, Ishikawa
- Experience with CAD software.
- Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills for this role.
- Ability to perform cost analysis and reduction
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, with a special emphasis on Excel.
- Highly hands-on and good mechanical aptitude needed.
