About Miles Smart Tutoring:

Based in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Miles Smart Tutoring offers affordable online and in-person tutoring services. The family owned company was first established in 2016. When the pandemic hit, the need for virtual tutors increased. Miles Smart now has employed over 90 tutors who provide the best experience possible for their clients both virtually and in person. We offer tutoring in a variety of subjects like geometry and history, or SAT prep and GRE prep.

Our professional staff works with students of all ages, individually or in groups. With our assistance, you can excel in a variety of subjects. We motivate our students every step of the way to achieve academic success or career progress. Tutoring is provided to students K-8 all the way through to graduate school for most subjects, including test preparation, math, science, English, language and more.

The Position: We are seeking a IN Person Tutor for 8th Grade. The person we are looking for must have at least two years of tutoring experience. When applying, please submit both a cover letter and a resume.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to commute to Port Charlotte.
• Must have a teaching certificate
• Proficient in tutoring and test preparation
• Must have patience
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Strong oral and writing skills

• At least two years of tutoring experience
• Certification and/or license

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for catering to the student’s needs
• Being able to provide a safe environment for the student
• Helping students reach their fullest potentials
• Engage and communicate effectively with parents and guardians of students.
