The Opportunity
As a senior sales representative for the Springboard for Business team, you will work closely with our General Manager and Sales VP, as well as our product and customer delivery teams. While we are already working with a few of the world’s largest companies, Springboard for Business is a relatively new line of business and is carving out a novel place in the market. Because of this, we are still actively developing our go to market strategy and playbook, rapidly updating our personas, pricing, packaging and product line to adapt to our evolving understanding of the market. Such work requires an unusual sales skillset. Like all good salespeople, you will need to generate your own leads, get to decision makers, tell a compelling story, and then use your tenacity and skill to guide six and seven figure enterprise deals to a close. But unlike most salespeople, you will have to do this with very little playbook, one that almost certainly departs from most ed tech approaches, and one that you will actively play a role in coauthoring. This means you’ll need to be exceptionally creative, adaptive, and scrappy, unusually curious and effective at pattern recognition and at internally evangelizing market learnings to the rest of the team, including the product, ops, and marketing teams. Ideal candidates will have successful sales experience taking genuinely novel products to market and selling them to large enterprises.
Salary range: $160-240K OTE with a 50/50 base/variable split USD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
Responsibilities
- Source your own leads
- Manage your own 6-7 figure deals from lead to close in a highly ambiguous environment
- Actively acquire market intelligence, bring it into the team, and aid in processing it
- Play a role in helping the team rapidly iterate on personas, pitches, packaging, positioning, packaging, and our products
- Handle your own documentation
You
- Have clearly demonstrated history of success in enterprise sales
- Have successfully sold large deals into Fortune 100+
- Ideally have sold successfully to large enterprises in an early stage environment to companies that had never heard of the product or thought about the solution type.
- At minimum can demonstrate unusual scrappiness, adaptability, creativity and success in highly ambiguous sales environments paired with other highly successful enterprise sales experiences.
