Accountant Job at Jacksons Food Stores
The Corporate Accountant at Jacksons assists with the month and year end closing processes. They play a vital role in preparing various corporate accounting activities and the timely preparation of internal documents, analyses, and financial and operational information for internal management and external reporting. The ideal candidate is naturally inclined to be a self-starter and enjoys being a part of a hard-working and growing company.
Some of what you’ll do as a Corporate Accountant:
- Prepare general ledger entries
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliation
- Prepare and review monthly profit and loss statements
- Prepare various excise tax returns
- Prepare year end (and interim) work papers
- Other duties and special projects as needed
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and or commensurate with experience in accounting is preferred
- Experience with computers and demonstrated skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- The ability to work within a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential
- A history of effectively working independently or as a team
- A high degree of accuracy, while meeting regular deadlines
- Practiced in effectively communicating with all levels of the organization
- A history of being a reliable professional with an eye for detail
- Strong skills in data analysis, organization, problem-solving, and computer applications
Physical Requirements:
The work may be done in a sitting position with no excessive lifting, pulling, or pushing, and limited twisting, bending, and stooping. While performing the duties of this job, there is required use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms.
