BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE:
The Accountant reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for journal entries, assisting in monthly closing reports, maintaining the general ledger and asset ledger, along with other various reporting responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in all monthly close reports
- Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
- Prepare monthly operations analysis
- Maintain general ledger
- Maintain asset ledger
- Prepare monthly reports for parent company (KSB)
- Prepare rolling forecast budget
- Process accounts receivable and revenue collection functions, including preparing, printing, and posting invoices, following up on outstanding invoices and administering collection agency contract.
- Multi-task and work under time constraints
- Check figures, postings, and documents to ensure that they are complete, correct, mathematically accurate, and properly coded
- Facilitate the process of receiving pending accounts to be paid
- Total, balance, and reconcile accounts
- Monitor accounts to ensure that payments are up to date
- Ensures accurate processing to accounts in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures, with correct application of taxes

- Participate in all monthly close reports

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Microsoft Office proficient (especially Excel)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Planning skills and must be very detailed oriented
Preferred:
- 3-5 Years of Accounting Experience
- SAP Experience
- Cost Accounting Experience
