We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As a Accountant, you will be responsible for performing general ledger accounting, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. You should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions and ensure all transactions are accurate and complete
- Perform general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end closing within tight deadlines
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable aging
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Provide recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Work with cross-functional teams to support business operations
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred
- 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in freight forwarding logistics industry
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
