The Electrical Commission is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual to join its team. The successful individual will assist in the financial processing of licensure and permit applications, prepare travel vouchers for other employees, send out invoices to entities owing the Commission, reconcile the application and bill payments systems, prepare cash receipts, prepare and reconcile office accounting reports, and reconcile payments. This includes working with licensees, members of the public, and other state employees to ensure the correct fees are collected and accounted for. This position works with a team to successfully administer the licensing and regulatory functions of the Electrical Commission. Responsibilities are completed in a typical office environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
The ideal candidate will have a certificate in bookkeeping and/or 5 or more years of accounting experience including reconciling billings with cash receipts.
Knowledge of:
- modern office software;
- general office equipment, practices, and procedures.
Skill in:
- advanced keyboarding;
- customer service;
- attention to detail;
- ability to detect and research account errors;
- verbal and written communication;
- ability to switch between tasks as workload dictates.
