Quatrro Business Support Services is hiring for an Accounting Assistant (AP) for their Chicago, IL market to process and analyze Accounts Payable under supervision and in close cooperation with Industry clients and other FPO staff.

As the Accounting Assistant you will:

  • Serve as main client contact for accounts payable information gathering, client questions and bill paying, while providing world-class customer service.

  • Provide to the client the cash requirements report to identify necessary payments and/or ensuring the client selects “AP for Payment” in the Q-Connect Portal or QPort.

  • Handle customer accounts payable questions/requests; requests can include invoice add-ons or special check preparation.

  • Serve as main point of contact for India AP team questions.

  • File invoices and annual 1099s. Maintains W9’s throughout the year.

  • Generate client breakdowns for payables stores.

  • Collaborate on sales tax return processing with other FPO staff.

  • Work with Production Associates to ensure quality, timely, complete deliverables.

  • Review accounts payable data for completeness as needed.

  • Perform data entry and coding duties as backup as needed.

  • Reconciles various vendor accounts as needed.

  • Frequently serve as a representative of FPO to various organizations such as payroll companies and governmental tax agencies, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions.


To be successful in the role you must possess:

  • An understanding of and experience with personal computers, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software.

  • Ability to follow general oral and written directions, organize, and work independently

  • Ability to detect problems with and balance invoices and POs, ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.

  • Previous professional accounts payable experience.

  • Professional business and communication skills required.

  • Associates degree in business with accounting or finance focus is preferred.

  • Great Plains software experience desired but not required
