Primary Purpose: To provide the necessary functions within job class to: efficiently and effectively report daily and weekly key plant metrics, analyze production process orders, identify discrepancies from standard, and drive corrective actions towards these variances. Assist in company store purchasing, customer transactions, and processing of orders. Assist in greeting incoming vendors, applicants, and phone calls. Cross-trained in the staff accountant’s role to gain a better understanding of all departmental roles. These duties include; reviewing and processing invoices, statements, and/or other check requests for payment. Inventory control by issuing cycle counts, analyzing inventory discrepancies, and driving corrective actions toward these variances.
Accountabilities:
- Prepare daily and weekly reports of the plant’s key metrics.
- Accurately utilize an automated operating system.
- Accurately process computer data to format and generate reports.
- Review production orders and process variances.
- Communicate with peers and subordinates in an effective and timely manner.
- Perform all aspects of the job with speed and professionalism.

- Must be proficient with the use of: Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet
- Must adhere to standards of confidentiality

- Must demonstrate effective communication skills
- Must be able to concentrate on minute details while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

- Must demonstrate initiative by addressing issues, and suggesting/implementing improvements without prompting
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Knowledge of mathematics.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit up to 6-8 hours per day
- Must be able to talk on the telephone for extended periods of time
- Must be able to key up to 6 hours per day
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Hours: The Position is on 1st Shift Monday - Friday. Hours are to be determined by Manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
