Position Overview:
UMBC Parking Services is seeking an Accounting Clerk III. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Parking Services, and working closely with the Communications/Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of all front office operations.

Responsibilities:
The Accounting Clerk III is a high-volume, high-visibility role that is critical to the success of the UMBC Parking Services mission. The incumbent will be responsible for processing cash receipts and reconciling the cash collected from parking pay stations, and will be expected to provide exceptional customer service to all campus constituents on a consistent basis. The incumbent will also assist in the recruitment, training and retention of the Student Parking Services Team.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years of accounting clerical experience
  • Must have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills

Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Customer service and/or cash handling and payment processing experience
  • Database management experience
