Accounting Manager Job at Anchor Sign
Anchor Sign is looking for a new Controller. Our ideal candidate will have an outstanding attitude and a team focused leadership style.
They will be confident in their abilities, represent the company to vendors and customers in a positive manner; be involved in operations and some human resource activities; be hands on with receivables, payables, general ledger, month end closing and cash flow management.
They will manage the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance Team of five to include AP, AR, collections, cash management and reporting.
Anchor Sign manufactures interior and exterior signage for many of the world’s leading brands including The Home Depot, Chick-fil-A, Bank of America and TJ Maxx to name just a few. We manufacture, deliver and install signage nationwide, requiring our ideal candidate to have a background in cost accounting with demonstrated experience in supporting manufacturing efforts.
Responsibilities:
· Participate in and supervise month end closing activities and general accounting responsibilities.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Lead five member team responsible for accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, fixed asset records, annual property tax packages, monthly sales and use tax, government surveys, general and cost accounting.
· Identify and lead process improvement efforts to streamline accounting team.
· Support the leadership team / CFO in the following areas:
- Implementation / conversion to new information system
- Provide budgeting and financial analysis.
- Develop financial dashboard for analytics of key operating metrics.
- Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms.
- Assist with financial forecasting and planning to improve operations and pricing.
- Interface with outside audit firms, banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agents, and credit card companies.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
· Positive attitude!
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
· MBA and/or CPA preferred
· Five plus years of accounting experience in manufacturing or construction industry.
· Advanced Excel skills
· Strong financial acumen and significant analytical and supervisory skills
· Broad-based knowledge of GAAP
· Should be comfortable in a culture where collaborative decision-making and process improvement is always a goal.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
