Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting will lead the Corporate Accounting Team within the US Finance Department. This position will utilize strong leadership, accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills to support US business. This includes leading the month-end close process, financial report preparation and review, partnering with the US Financial Planning and Analysis Team to support the planning and forecasting functions, as well as provide analytical support for key initiatives and ad hoc requests. It is expected that the individual in this role demonstrate a true business partnership with all levels of leadership, this includes but is not limited to US Finance, the Corporate Controller Group, Shared Service Center, Senior Leadership and Operational Leaders. This position will have a direct reports / people leadership responsibilities as assigned to support the business.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Leads the month end close process for the US Corporate Departments (Division Cost Centers), ensuring comprehensive oversight, management and review of results, and variance explanations with the respective Functional Department Leaders. Manages the required internal financial reporting associated with the departments and review with Finance Department leadership.
Manages and leads the account reconciliation process for all US Corporate Department (Division Cost Center) balances sheets, using the Blackline tool. Leads the balance sheet reporting associated with the departments and review with Finance Department leadership.
Provide leadership, support and guidance for the Lease Accounting processes and systems that are directly impacting the US business (facility, fleet, etc.)
Lead the Capital Expense / Fixed Asset Management process for the US business.
Oversee the External Audit process and Internal Tax requests for the US business.
Partner with the US FP&A Team to support the development of annual business plans and quarterly forecasts relating to the US Corporate Departments (Division Cost Centers)
Provides a continuous review of process and procedures, ensuring the most efficient and effective methods are in place to manage the business outcomes managed by the Corporate Accounting Department.
Recruit, hire, onboard, develop, and manage the performance of the Corporate Accounting team.
Support any system or process conversions as required.
Develop/maintain key metrics as required.
Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting plus a minimum of 8+ years accounting experience in progressive roles
Strong data-driven analytical skills with an ability to focus on the details.
Strong interpersonal and exceptional problem-solving skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient in the use of Excel
Experience with other Microsoft applications (Power BI, Outlook, Word, MS Teams)
Ability to understand, develop and refine processes.
Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines and while managing associated pressure.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Possess a professional demeanor.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Ability to work independently/self-managed and in a team environment.
Ability to interact with personnel at all levels within the organization to obtain, discuss, and analyze information and processes for all distribution operations.
Travel as required (approximately 10%)
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Experience with Cognos or other FPM/BI tools
Experience working in the distribution or manufacturing industry
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
