Accounting Representative

Position: The Accounting Representative will work as part of a team that handles balancing tellers, balancing internal accounts, accounts payable, processing incoming and outgoing wires, balancing Federal Reserve, monitoring customer checking accounts with Bounce Protection, insufficient items, charge-off accounts, balancing the Bond Portfolio, processing garnishments and tax levies, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Skills:

A successful candidate has a mix of formal education, certifications, and real-world experience. Math skills are very important for this position, but they must also have:

· High School Diploma or GED

· At least six months banking experience or accounting experience (preferred)

· An eye for detail

· Ability to meet daily deadlines

· Ability to communicate complex data in a clear way

· Excellent organization skills

· Ability to prioritize projects

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Excellent data entry skills

· Good computer skills

· Microsoft Word & Excel

Work Hours:

· 40 hours a week

· 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Hours subject to vary)

· Overtime as needed

Salary: Commensurate with experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, talk, hear, and verbally communicate to co-workers and customers in person or over the phone. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger dexterity for computer input to feel objects or controls, kneel and crouch while filing and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
