Accounts Payable Clerk Job at Kilgore Ind.
Kilgore Industries, one of the largest Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing subcontractors in the state of Texas is growing, and key to this growth is having the best team in the industry! We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk who is looking to grow with the industry leader. The AP Clerk is responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Manages Vendor Project invoices
- Analyzes, reviews and reconciles monthly vendor statements
- Manages vendor relationships, to include communicating with vendors to discuss accounts
- Creates and sends Texas Statutory Waivers to vendors
- Manages waivers as they are received from vendors
- Maintains up to date and accurate records
- Ensures relevant paperwork, forms and notes are submitted
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school degree required
- 3-5 years Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Construction experience highly desirable
- Experience with Lien Waivers and Notices preferred
- Experience with SAGE 300 is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
- Strong analytic, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage time and handle multiple projects and priorities
- Strong system skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, reporting software and database skills
- Exhibits a high level of integrity
- Professional interaction with customers and internal departments
