Synthetic Grass Store (retail & wholesale) is recruiting for the role of Accounts Payable Clerk for day-to-day transactions in North Phoenix. This person will be a full-time employee of Synthetic Grass Store but will also process accounts payable bills for Arizona Turf Masters (a separate company with common ownership).

• The Accounts Payable Clerk will use various source documents to prepare and record transactions into the accounting system. Attention to detail and input accuracy are essential.
• The Accounts Payable Clerk will work closely with the company's in-house accountant yet work independently.
• The Accounts Payable Clerk may communicate with others inside and outside the company to obtain, verify, and/or gather information to accurately prepare and record transactions into QuickBooks.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Prepare vendor bills and enter vendor bills into QuickBooks
• Pay bills in QuickBooks using different pay methods
• Record credit card purchases into QuickBooks
• Maintain physical and electronic records, filing
• Verify and update vendor information in QuickBooks as necessary
• Perform other department tasks as needed

• High School Diploma/GED

Must haves

• 2 years experience with Accounts Payable
• Ability to travel within 5-mile roundtrip 2-3 times per week
• Must be proficient with QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Attention to detail and accuracy in entering data (the role is data-entry intensive)
• Verbal and written communication skills are essential
