Kilgore Companies is now hiring for a dynamic Accounts Payable Manager. This position works closely with and will report to the Controller. In this position you will be responsible for managing the entire AP process including supervision, motivation, and development of the payable team; making decisions that impact financial reporting; influencing operational culture; and acting as liaison between our local operations and our parent company in all things related to AP.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage Full Cycle accounts payable process
• Guide AP team work to align with the company vision
• Ensure the team meets deadlines by planning ahead and escalating aging issues
• Drive the integrity of the data being processed
• Research and resolve discrepancies
• Manage accountability within the team
• Communicate with operational management and provide operational support
• Integrate improvement initiatives including software developments
• Provide timely response to audit inquiries and other regulatory requirements
• Work closing with finance staff and management
• Develop processes and procedures to anticipate needs in rapidly changing environment
• Act as a subject matter expert on all things related to accounts payable and procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in accounting required.
• Strong experience in AP required, construction accounts payable preferred.
• Experience with and strong understanding of accounting including GL and Job Costing.
• Ability to motivate and develop a team. Prior experience in supervising others required.
• Strong use of Excel and other Microsoft Office products required.
• Prior experience in project management preferred.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills required.
• Experience in public company preferred. Work in audit management preferred.
