The accounts payable specialist processes invoices received against the purchase approval process, records activity accurately in the sub-ledger and ledger and processes payments. Responsible for associated preliminary reconciliations and maintaining accurate vendor files.

Salary: $37,500 - $45,000 Depending on experience
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Receive Payables – Review all invoices for appropriate doc. and approval prior to payment. Enter & Post to GL and Vendor account
- Issue payment to vendors through check, ACH, etc.
- Reconcile vendor statements to account activity as received, answer vendor questions in a timely manner
- Comcheck/EFS administration and reconciliation
- Company Credit Card Administration and reconciliation; implementation/utilization of automated bank system
- Month End Driver/AP preliminary accounts reconciliations; any associated journal entries
- AP SOP/work instruction creation, administration, compliance & annual review
- Coordinate 1099 administrations
- Fluent with Microsoft Dynamics GP, TMW, TMT, Microsoft Office Suite and all other company mandated equipment & software. Updating knowledge – participates in educational opportunities

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Business/Accounting or Comparable
- 5 years of experience in accounts payable
- Working knowledge of the Transportation industry preferred
- Ability to Problem solve and excellent organizational skills required
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft suite
- Must be able to pass a post-hire drug screen, background check and employment verification
