Accounts Receivable and Payables Clerk Job at Akam
Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable Clerk will work closely with the Accounting team, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting Operations. The individual will be responsible for performing collections, resolving client A/R and A/P issues, reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and generating invoices.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintain up-to-date billing system- Follow up, collection and allocation of payments
- Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Monitoring customer account details for non-payments delayed payments and other irregularities
- Maintain accounts receivable/ customer files
- Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
- Prepare bank deposits
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Process adjustments
- Organizing a recovery system and initiating collection efforts
- Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail, or personally
- Process invoices for buildings on a monthly basis
- Void and stop checks as needed
- Filing paid invoices and backups
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any related field is preferred- Minimum of 1-3 years of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience is required
- Experience using Yardi Voyager, Avid etc..
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
- Heavy data entry experience is a plus
- Proficient with MS Office Suite programs; specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word
