Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor/ LMSW to join our team. We have a location that we offer service for in Lebanon, TN

We provide affordable treatment options for opioid dependence. Our team of doctors, nurses, and counselors are focused on counseling and wellness to help our clients achieve their recovery goals. We provide Medication Assisted Treatment utilizing Suboxone/ Buprenorphine.

Position Summary: The counselor provides individual and group counseling to patients. They work with the Medical Director, Program Director, other counselors, doctors, and nurses to meet the clinical needs of each and every patient. We are looking for a compassionate, caring, and motivated counselor.

Principal functions

• Working with patients to complete intake, admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork
• Documenting patient process through counseling
• Coordinating and cooperating with local agencies and organizations necessary to aid treatment for each patient and providing referrals for services needed
• Performing individual and/or group counseling
• Reporting any and ALL abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the patient
• Educating patients in all phases of treatment, as well as corresponding health issues and steps to recovery
• Obtaining and maintaining proper licensures and/ or certifications according to state requirements
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and policies.
• Performing other tasks assigned by the Program Director
• Providing patients with assistance of what to do after treatment (ex: job search, vocational rehabilitation, or inpatient treatment)

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensure/Certification: Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a master's degree in social work or related field; LCSW, LMFT, LCAS-A/LCAS and/or LCMHC-A/LCMHC, CAC, CADC, CAP (Masters Degree preferred)

Experience Required: some experience in substance abuse and/or mental health preferred

Skill and Ability: Necessary to have great interpersonal and communication skills, be able to multitask, prioritize, be dependable and reliable, work in a fast paced environment, and be able to work well with others.
