Adjunct Instructors Job at Long Island University
The Biology Department at Long Island University/Brooklyn Campus is searching for reliable and passionate adjunct instructors to join our faculty. The adjunct instructor’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to) preparing and delivering lectures and introductory laboratory material, preparing and grading examinations and assignments, and supervising students during laboratory experiments. A typical class consists of 2 hours of lecture and 4 hours of laboratory per week. Depending upon availability, instructors may be assigned one or both. Instruction will be based on a standardized syllabus. Candidates should be able to teach students from different backgrounds, with varying aptitudes and interests.
As a minimum, candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Biology or a related discipline.
We are also looking to hire adjuncts who will monitor and teach graduate students. As a minimum candidates should have a MS degree in Biology or a related discipline.
