Administrative Specialist I-Medical Records-Sampson County Job at North Carolina Adult Correction
This position is currently located within the Department of Public Safety but will transfer to the Department of Adult Correction when it is established on January 1st, 2023.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, as well as retirement.
This position is located at* Sampson Correctional Institution *in Clinton, North Carolina. Reporting to the Nurse Supervisor I, this position will have daily contact with offenders and will work in the nursing department.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform typing, filing, appointment scheduling, telephone duties
- Ensure supplies are ordered and maintained on a timely basis
- Audit Outpatient Charts prior to transfer for completion
- Prepare Statistical Reports and review Medical Records for completeness
- Review and maintain Medical Records on site in a confidential manner
- Performing clerical functions as required in compliance with the requirements of the Health Care Procedures Manual.
- Ensures all Records are initiated, processed and transferred in a correct and timely manner.

If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase/decrease MAY result.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: $35,788.00 - $62,628.00 per year
