Presbyterian Village, a Premier Retirement Community in Austell, seeks a Full Time Admission Coordinator. The Admission Coordinator is responsible for developing census and case mix by providing prospective residents and/or responsible parties with appropriate information and assistance to the nursing center. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the transitions throughout the continuum by collaborating with the all involved parties to insure a smooth preadmission assessment and admission process. We seek a candidate who can communicate in an open, positive manner with residents, families, legal representatives, staff and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes records and documentation in accordance with company policy and state and federal guidelines.
  • Verifies Medicare and Secondary Insurance coverage on all new admissions.
  • Attends weekly Resident Update meetings and discusses any potential new admissions with team.
  • Enters new admission information into computer and assures that necessary information is on resident chart.
  • Maintains Operating and Resident Trust Petty Cash boxes, ensuring that accounts balance at all times.
  • Prepares bank deposits for various accounts as necessary.
  • Prepares manual checks for all accounts and maintains an accurate check register.
  • Updates daily census report and distributes to appropriate staff.
  • Assists Administrator with collecting and sending necessary information to corporate office for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Performs any and all duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ admission experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, organization, problem-solving and time management skills required.
  • Must have excellent critical thinking skills and be an energetic self-starter.
  • Exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Must be patient with prospective residents, residents, and residents’ families.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
