PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote business through positive relationships with referral sources. Maximize revenues by ensuring a thorough review of all potential admits and provision of prompt accurate admissions information to other departments.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Manage, schedule and conduct tours of facility with all potential clients, family members and referral sources. Establish and maintain professional relationship with area hospital Discharge Planner/Social Workers. Ensure client or responsible party sign all applicable and required paperwork within 24 hours of admission. Verify all insurances, both primary and secondary. Maintain/provide appropriate files on each client to ensure business office billing accuracy. Maintain effective referral source communication system. Maintain and continually build data base of referral sources. Establish responsive protocols for inquiries. Work closely with Administration and Social Services departments to prevent and resolve client/family issues in a timely manner. Assist Management in the development of new service lines which enhance occupancy. Assist in the development and implementation of marking programs to maximize census. Actively participate in department head meetings. Utilize facility software programs to track referrals and input preadmission data. Communicate equipment needs to the Case Manager. Prepare and distribute appropriate admission paperwork to required personnel. Communicate any special needs with appropriate personnel prior to admission. Ensure that all necessary provisions have been made and all pertinent information conveyed prior to a resident being admitted. Update admission log on the shared computer drive daily.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
Medical and insurance benefits preferred
LPN AZ license preferred
- Professional license and/or health care experience preferred.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Cordial, engaging professional personality.
- Ability to organize work and lead others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and numerical aptitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
