Admissions Representative Job at Webster University
Description
Develops recruitment strategies for targeted area; recruits prospective students by arranging and
visiting high schools, college campuses, and attending college fairs; facilitates University
campus visits; assists with recruitment mailings.
Gives admissions and financial aid information in person or by telephone to prospective
students, parents, school counselors, and the public at large.
Counsels students, parents, and the general public regarding admission policies and procedures.
Conducts follow-up contacts with prospective students; assist students with questions regarding
admissions policies, procedures, and University programs.
Assists with student recruitment events such as fall open house, spring information night, and
fall/spring visitations.
Evaluates prospective students' academic profile for admission into the University.
Maintains favorable liaison with high school counselors and college campus personnel.
Stays abreast of University programs, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of university admissions guidelines, standards, and procedures, and higher
education admissions counseling in general.
Knowledge of the various financial aid programs, including application deadlines and
regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Planning and organizational skills.
Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective
working relations with the university community.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of university admissions guidelines, standards, and procedures, and higher
education admissions counseling in general.
Knowledge of the various financial aid programs, including application deadlines and
regulations.
