Position Overview:
Overall responsibility for the administrative management and oversight of the agency’s after school program site. The Program Director will serve as the lead professional and technical resource to the Agency at each site on after school programming and Department of Education issues.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include the overall accountability for the management, delivery of the programs’ services and daily operations for after school programs:
- Ensure in-service training for staff on safety and program issues.
- Initiates and plans community collaboration programs for all program services.
- Designs, develops and implements program initiatives for school within the responsibility of the position.
- Ensure program compliance with ExpandED Schools, TC, DOE, DOH, OCFS, DYCD and/or DFTA requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of funder’s reports.
- Ensure regular communication and contact with school administrators, parents, and other stakeholders where after school program is located.
- Ensure staff compliance with service training requirements
- Ensure staff compliance with all hiring requirements prior to start dates.
- Oversees and makes discreet decisions on staffing issues such as hiring, promotion, transfers, performance evaluations, compensation and termination of employment.
- Provides strategic and tactical planning for the agency on after school and education.
Position Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least an Bachelors Degree in Education or related field and equivalent experience with three (3) to five (5) years of proven after school experience; understands and has experience in working with children and families in preventive, education or treatment setting. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, are required; with outstanding public speaking skills as an advantage. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions. Candidate must be computer proficient.
Salary: $50,000 (Flat Rate)

Experience
Required- 3 - 5 years: three (3) to five (5) years of proven after school experience; understands and has experience in working with children and families in preventive, education or treatment setting.
