After School Program Site Director (Multiple Locations Available) Job at Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union

The ASP Site Director will oversee the after school program in a school with the specific responsibility for routine general administrative duties, staff supervision, and compliance with licensing requirements of the Vermont Child Development Division of the Agency of Human Services and Department for Children and Families. An average shift is 3 hours, Monday through Friday.Essential Duties-Complete all required state and federal paperwork for meals/snacks-Complete all associated attendance and billing paperwork in a timely manner, logging all attendance and payments received on the BRSU provided spreadsheet-Communicate monthly with parents and guardians, (i.e.- newsletter, flyers, newspaper, website posts, etc.)-Manage lesson plans for the ASP with staff assistance as needed-Ensure all necessary documentation is posted as required by State of Vermont regulations-Manage monthly fire drills and document as required-Check bus notes, parent pick-ups and absences daily and document absences on the sign-in/sign-out sheets-Create and manage the daily sign-in/sign-out sheets and master attendance list-Notify the classroom teachers and front desk staff of any changes in attendance and update the master list-Coordinate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and guidance counselors to ensure that the educational and behavioral needs of all ASP students are being addressed and met-Ensure that all required first aid equipment is present and available to the program and re-stock as necessary-Maintain STARS certification and /or Specialized/Advanced Specialized Care designation as site appropriate-Mentor and educate new ASP staff members, including but not limited to completing the ASP Staff Orientation within 30 days of employment -Ensure that staffing always reflects the state approved ratio and supports the safety of all students and staff members present -Monitor the staff to child ratio and change staff accordingly -Communicate any student or staff issues, needs or concerns with the appropriate school and BRSU representatives-Maintain Credential Requirements per the Child Care Manual published by the State of Vermont (post hire) -Fulfill all essential duties of an ASP staff member as needed-Additional duties as assigned to ensure a high quality safe environment in accordance with school/SU procedures, STARS, and the Child Care Licensing Regulations for Afterschool Programs (VT)
