Aircraft Mechanic- Parachute Rigger Job at Zenetex LLC
Position Overview:
ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have opportunities in the future for qualified Aircraft Mechanics II/Parachute Rigger to support our Contractor Field Team in China Lake, CA.
This is a union position salary is 42.50/H.
Description:
- Inspects, maintains and repairs parachutes, seat pans, survival equipment, flight
protective equipment and clothing, packs and rigs parachutes, packs and equips life rafts. - Fits and maintains oxygen masks, flight clothing, anti-exposure suits, anti-G suits; operates and maintains
carbon dioxide transfer and recharge equipment. - Operates and repairs sewing machines.
- Conduct special calendar/periodic inspections of survival equipment.
- Operates parachute lofts and survival equipment work centers.
- Applies comprehensive technical experience to solve moderate to complex
problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturer's manuals.
- High school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 3 years at either organizational or intermediate level maintenance performing Parachute Rigger duties in accordance
with CNAFINST 4790.2 series guidelines within the last five years. - Must have completed a USN/USMC/USCG Class A school for Parachute Riggers, or equivalent US Air Force or US Army MOS
course in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2 series.
Environment (ADA)
May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable.- Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, close vision corrected/uncorrected to 20/20, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance.
- This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Active clearance highly desired.
