The Position
Retail Construction - Painter
Location
Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Assist team with new store openings and rebuilds
- Spray/paint/stain new fixtures for stores
- Prepare surfaces including but not limited to sanding and priming
- Conduct basic construction tasks
- Check functionality of safety systems
- Report to a facilities/maintenance manager
Requirements:
- Maintain a valid Drivers license
- Full-time/40+ hour per week commitment based out of Chicago with a flexible schedule
- Willingness to travel out of state if needed
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable climbing ladders
- Must consent to and pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Woodworking, carpentry, building fixtures, etc.
- Basic technical skills (i.e., respond to emails, manage Zendesk ticketing)
- Responsive team player with the ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
- Willingness to perform job responsibilities outside of typical business hours and occasionally respond to urgent needs on nights and weekends
