How will you make an impact?
Responsibilities
- Analyzing and recording monthly general ledger journal entries
- Analyzing and reconciling specific account balances
- Establishing accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP
- Assisting in the preparation of various budgets
- Preparing written and oral presentations to department management
- Providing assistance to internal and external auditors
- Accounting for accounts receivables related to Pilots
- Interacting with third party insurance and collection agencies
- Preparing third party and hull claim invoices
- Assisting with payroll processes and reconciliations
- Participating in special projects
Who are we looking for?
In this role, the Analyst must have high energy, integrity and attention to detail. Must be willing and able to take initiative and be proactive. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team while prioritizing work and projects in order to meet competing deadlines.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Solid understanding of Accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Possess the legal right to work in the United States
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
Position Preferences:
- Minimum two years of Accounting/Finance experience
- General Ledger background; ability to review, analyze, and resolve G/L outstanding balances
- Strong financial systems skills including SAP
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Additional
