Analyst III Commuter Rail & RRM Job at Dallas Area Rapid Transit
This position is responsible for contract support, performs and coordinates business and financial analysis for the Commuter Rail & Railroad Management Department for management review; assists in business re-engineering; maintains and develops departmental key performance indicators; coordinates budgeting, invoicing and other financial activities with internal and external stakeholders; plans, manages, and assists in the development of complex projects supporting Commuter Rail & Railroad Management programs. Provides support to the Vice President Commuter Rail & Railroad Management.

Develops and assists other team members with project strategy and management. -
Performs analysis; interprets data and prepares presentations for various entities. Analyzes and uses results from spreadsheets and other databases. -
Provides guidance in the development, interpretation and application of departmental policies and procedures in support of corporate and departmental goals. -
Develops and monitors portions of department work programs and planning projects. -
Reviews data adequacy, approval of methodologies, compliance with project budgets, schedules, and quality control of work program and work products. -
Continually explores and develops new project performance metrics and key performance indicators. -
Provides back-up for other staff ensuring timely responses to customer requests, concerns, commendations, etc. and helps resolve customer issues. -
Responsible for developing and maintaining a master project tracking and reporting system for major projects to include status and timelines within the Commuter Rail & Railroad Management Department. -
Prepares routine reports to allow for effective decision making by department personnel. -
Manage agenda reports for the Commuter Rail & Railroad Management Department, prepare responses for the Board. -
Coordinates and schedules all required meetings, minutes, agendas and associated items for the Trinity Railway Express Management and Advisory Committees. -
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, or equivalent experience in a related field. -
Three (3) years progressively responsible experience preferably in a transportation environment or related field. -
Knowledge and experience with effectively coordinating activities between multiple departments, disciplines, and agencies. -
Advanced level of computer skills to manage databases, spreadsheets, etc. -
Working knowledge of FRA regulations and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing Commuter or Freight Rail experience desirable. -
