What You Will Do:

The Applications Engineer is the front end of a focused team which supports our growing sales and design efforts to develop custom cooling packages. This position requires an independent thinker with strong time management skills and excellent communication skills.

  • Using knowledge of heat transfer, fluid flow and the performance of heat exchangers, design custom cooling packages and solutions that meet customer needs and specifications.
  • Evaluate shell and tube heat exchanger performance with respect to heat transfer and fluid flow and find cooling systems solutions for our OE customers. Onsite customer technical sales support and on-site cooling test support.
  • Generate cost estimates, quotations and perform the necessary follow up activities to facilitate the award of new business.
  • Work closely with other departments and the plant to ensure new models are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements.
  • Monitor feedback from the field and initiate product improvement when appropriate.
  • Support and manage post award activities to ensure products meet the customers functional requirements.
  • Participate in Engineering and New Product Initiative activities.

What You Bring:

  • BS in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Technology.
  • 3-5 years related work experience in related industry.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
