Job Description:

Description: The Applications Trainer – CHC assess and analyzes EPIC end-user learning needs for Community Health. This position develops job aids, “How Tos” and other learning resources. The Applications Trainer – CHC collaborates with the EPIC team to ensure most recent upgrades or system configurations are included in training material. This position continuously evaluates training needs for new hires and system changes or upgrades. The Applications Trainer - CHC serves as a resource for Community Health EPIC super users and end users as well as supports NEC phone training.

Typical Duties:

  • Maintains established training curriculum for a broad range of Community Health end users using operational knowledge and experience. Updates curriculum based on operational workflows and needs and Epic upgrades.

  • Trains end users. Facilitates Super User program. Coordinates training for Epic releases and updates.

  • Creates Epic “How To”, Hot Topic” and “Upgrade” resources for the clinical support staff as reference. Creates EMR Communication Newsletter with a clinical support focus for Community Health.

  • Analyzes production or operation problems, identifies and resolves immediate problems.

  • Performs analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify organizational workflow improvement opportunities and assists in implementation and training.

  • Assists with testing of software programs and materials used in training programs for completeness and accuracy.

  • Participates in the evaluation of new releases and updates.

  • Supports operational and NEC phone training for Community Health.

  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


    Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or other related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • OR
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 2 plus years of experience in a healthcare environment instructing adult learners.
  • 2 plus years of experience in clinical or revenue cycle background in a healthcare environment.
  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 2 plus years of Epic Systems experience.
  • 2 plus years of experience in e-learning software applications.
  • 2 plus years of experience in Microsoft applications. (Must be proficient)
  • Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Epic credentialing in appropriate module(s) in assigned timeframe.
  • Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Epic certification in appropriate module(s).
