Position Summary
As a LONG Apprentice Controls Technician, you will support customers by helping to program temperature control systems based on project specifications. Using your knowledge in the commercial HVAC industry, you will assist other Technicians in perform installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance service on installed systems.
Pay Range: $27 - $35 per hr. plus potential profit share.

Responsibilities
- Assist with programing databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers recommendations, in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents.
- Help control Technicians perform calibration and check-out of control systems and ensures that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are met.
- Assist the graphics coordinator and/or provide the labor and expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces when required for projects in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents
- Instruct customer’s personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems and energy conversation routines
- Help provide information to update drawings and keep records of equipment for as-built documentation (submit all redlined drafting to application engineers)
- Enroll in and successfully complete the ASP Building Automation Technician Program.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver license
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Basic knowledge of HVAC
- Enrollment in ASP Program
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- 1+ years of tech school or 1+ years of DDC/BAS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience
- Basic Programming and troubleshooting skill with some type of control system
