POSITION SUMMARY:
The Upholstery Assembler position is responsible for putting the vinyl covers on the production and warranty furniture components and securing them in place.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Installs vinyl covers on furniture parts using various stretching, pulling, and shaping techniques.
Staple the covers to the furniture parts by using air powered stapling equipment.
Inspects finished product for quality upon completion.
Performs various manual assembly operations such as: trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing.
Collects foam pieces in bundles.
Operates and performs daily cleaning and maintenance on various assembly machines such as: snap, hydem embossing, heat transfer and screen printing.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Degree: Former Apprenticeship or associates degree preferred
Experience: 1 year experience preferred, but not necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Ability for rapid mental and muscular depth perception
Repetitious work
