Overview:
This 2nd shift position is responsible for the assembly, modification, and rework of moderately complex combustible, electro-chemical and infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring, soldering, and connecting. Position is also responsible for testing and troubleshooting. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as related to production and company objectives is required. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste. Responsibilities:

+ $1/hr off shift differential. Increase to $21+ base pay + $1/hr off shift differential after 12 months! Will provide on the job training!

- Salary is $ 20.66/hr
- Assemble and test (including set-up), complex combustible, electro-chemical or infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. Some trouble-shooting required
- Pick material out of the warehouse
- Perform visual inspections and minor repairs and rework
- Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

- Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
- Ability to understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
- Ability to perform standard software operations including SAP
- Ability to regularly perform work that requires magnification
- Strong manual dexterity requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
- Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Ability to infrequently stand in a stationary position
- Ability to use power and hand tools, and custom tooling
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area
- Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts
- Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes, lab coat, sleeves, gloves and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis
Education and Experience Required:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months manufacturing or other related experience (if lacking minimum months of experience, we will train you through our temporary agency before full time employment!)

Past soldering experience (training provided if no experience established)
