Introduction
State Representative Clint Moses (R-Menomonie), is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Legislative Assistant. This position is responsible for office administration, constituent relations, and communications, with the opportunity to gain experience in policy development. Starting date will be January 3rd, 2023.

Job Details
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing first-rate constituent services by promptly assisting with issues related to state agencies, legislative inquiries, and other relevant concerns.
- Managing Representative Moses’ schedule.
- Maintaining the constituent database.
- Responding to email messages, phone calls, and mail.
- Conducting outreach to individuals, businesses, and local governments and entities in the district
- Producing a weekly electronic newsletter
- Contributing to the Representative’s social media account
- Maintaining the Representative’s website
- Working with the Research Assistant on the drafting and editing of various documents (e.g. email messages, constituent letters, press releases, legislation, and memoranda).
- Assisting with some legislative policy and committee work.
Qualifications
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, while exercising professional judgment and confidentiality at all times
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, driven and self-starter
- Knowledge of legislative, administrative, and judicial systems
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy within assigned deadlines
