Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials and equipment requirements or assembly instructions.
• Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering equipment.
• Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
• Mark products, workpieces, or equipment with identifying information.
• Communicate with supervisors or engineers on issues, malfunctions, or defective components to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.
• Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
• Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications.
• Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Ability to see and distinguish between colors
• Applicant must be able to lift at least 35 pounds regularly
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and work from step stools and ladders for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to use and read measurement tools to 1mm
• Ability to meet attendance requirements, which includes frequent voluntary and mandatory overtime
• Applicants must have at least a High school diploma, GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
