Role and Responsibilities
- Assists in production activities by performing the following duties.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Breaks out part from sheets/plates, stacks onto skids or pallets.
- Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, and tables.
- Delivers metal parts or stock to designated work areas for bending or packing.
- Removes metal chips and shavings from surfaces of Break-Out tables and wipes surfaces of tables to remove excess oil.
- Separates metal shavings, chips, and scrap materials from trash and places them in bins for resale.
- Removes burrs or excess metal from punched, laser cut or machined parts.
- Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
- Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Is consistently at work and on time.
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
- Monitors scrap hopper and empties as required.
- Actively supports all Cardinal Metalworks activities, i.e., failure analysis etc.
- Supports all job functions by being cross trained in each area.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and requirements.
- Exercises independent judgment as needed.
- Completes documentation required on Work Order.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Ability to determine material types and gages.
- Regularly lift and/or move heavy materials, 50/75 lbs.
- Experience in reading blueprints, wok orders or machining instructions.
- Able to work any shift and overtime as needed.
- Attentiveness, focus, strength and stamina are key traits needed for this process.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Salary- $13.00-$15.00
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
