Success Rehabilitation is a residential and day treatment rehabilitation program for adults with traumatic brain injury.

We are looking for an Assistant Chef that is compassionate, hardworking, and ready to prepare nutritious meals for our clients with cognitive and neurological impairments.
STATEMENT OF JOB:
Under the direction of the Facility Manager and assigned daily Team Leader, oversees all kitchen functions, client specific diets, nutritional needs, meal preparation and meal distribution.
Reports to: Facility Manager and Assigned Team Leader
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all Kitchen Safety Policies and Procedures and use proper safety techniques as needed when preparing meals.
- Understand specific dysphagic instructions and prepare meals accordingly.
- Organize kitchen flow with regards to the dissemination of all meals to clients and staff.
- Keep kitchen area sanitized at all times.
- Work with the Corporate Chef to plan meals in keeping with recommendations from the Nutritionist.
- Prepare meals as assigned by the Corporate Chef and Facilities Manager.
- Work with assigned Team Leader to ensure that every meal is delivered in a healthy, clean environment.
- Communicate frequently with both assigned Team Leader and Corporate Chef to enhance meal experience for the clients.
- Keep kitchen area free of “traffic."
- Comply with all Success Rehabilitation, Inc. policies and procedures as stated in all company manuals.
- Be familiar with the mission of Success Rehabilitation, Inc. and work towards assuring that mission is integrated as part of all job efforts.
- Regularly attend and participate in staff meetings, as assigned.
- Attend in-service training programs as assigned.
- Other job duties, as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in dietary services & food preparation
- Experience with organizing a kitchen
- Experience with menu planning
- Able to work independently
- Excellent verbal skills
- Must have a reliable vehicle
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPR/First Aid
Recommended shifts:
- Wed-Fri: 12:30pm - 7:00pm
- Sat-Sun: 7:00am - 5:30pm
