In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all of Desert Mountain facilities and areas in a world-class fashion in cleanliness and aesthetics under the direction of the of Housekeeping and Horticulture and in accordance with Desert Mountain Club operations. Oversee the cleaning of all clubhouses, office and maintenance buildings, golf course restrooms, sales center, and development properties held by Desert Mountain Club.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and driven individual who is a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. A minimum of 2 years' of management experience required. Prior experience in a hotel, resort, or club is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Must have a Valid Arizona Driver’s License and good driving record.

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning, organization, development, and direction for the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department under the direction of the Director of HSKP and HORT in accordance with Desert Mountain Club operations.
  • Supervise, instruct, plan, and assign work to housekeeping team.
  • Inspect vacated rooms, corridors, restaurants, lobbies, and lavatories.
  • Manage and resolve complaints from members and team members and report to appropriate individuals for necessary action in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Assist with interviewing and training of the team.
  • Coach and counsel team members as needed and keep the Dir. of HSKP and HORT informed on team member performance. Assist with performance evaluations.
  • Manage event set up and execution.
  • Oversee maintenance records for machines and equipment.
  • Enter and track inventories using Excel or other such programs.
  • Negotiate vendor pricing.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary records and accounts.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with members, management, and housekeeping teammates.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring teammates wear PPE when working with chemicals.
  • Initiate the reporting of incidents or accidents to Workers’ Compensation carrier within 24 hours.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Required to stand and walk – Frequently
  • Required to push, pull, lift, carry, and/or move up to 75 pounds – Frequently
  • Required to operate a motor vehicle or other vehicle.
  • Required to work with industrial chemicals – Frequently
  • Exposed to extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather) – Occasionally
  • Required to be on feet for long periods of time.
  • Required to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
