The Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital, Fairfield, CT is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS).This position will provide support to the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department. Position is a direct report to the Nursing Director. On call responsibilities as well as occasional weekend supervision is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide support to the Director of Nursing (DON) with planning, developing, implementing and evaluating aspects within the nursing service department.
- Promote its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and state and federal guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.
- Maintain methods for coordination of nursing services with resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
- Assist the resident and Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must possess valid unencumbered, RN State License.
- Bachelors in Nursing from an accredited College or University preferred.
- Must have previous experience as an Assistant of Nursing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
