Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager - Parking and Transportation Services, reports to the Director and is responsible for providing administrative technical support to enhance parking operations by overseeing daily office operations, maintaining quality communications with diverse university groups, and implementing the department's transportation initiatives. Additionally, the assistant manager advances department objectives through the development and implementation of communication plans, including internal and external communications, outreach programs and activities. The assistant manager works as a member of the management team while frequently performing tasks independently and must employ effective communications, time management, CAD skills and timely project completion.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration OR 4 additional years (7 total) of management experience.
Three years of management experience to include:
  • Directly supervising personnel
  • Performing administrative or office support functions
  • Independently coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects and timelines.
  • Using computer software and applications for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet research.



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and sensitivity to effectively interact with a highly diverse campus community.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity and emotional maturity.
  • Experience working with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for parking (e.g., AIMS).
  • High level of creativity.
  • Customer service skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of survey tools, such as Qualtrics.
  • Ability to interview and understand the needs of a diverse range of groups and individuals.
  • Proficient with CAD.
