SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:

Support the principal, teachers and students in providing a safe environment while attaining the school’s goals in the education of students.


Pay range based on experience: $86,000-$105,000


SUPERVISED BY: Principal


SUPERVISES: Office staff, Custodians, Coaches, Teachers and Teaching Assistants.


ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:

  • Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the school’s instructional curriculum.
  • Serve as instructional leader and coach to teachers and support staff through observation, as assigned by the principal
  • Identify needs and recommend training for the teaching staff. Provide recommendations to the principal concerning curriculum, instruction and staff development.
  • Work with the teaching staff to develop and implement individual improvement goals based on the school’s data.
  • Serve as school/community communication liaison.
  • Support the principal in supervising students and administering attendance and discipline policies.
  • Facilitate K-8 Special Education and Child Study staffings, appeals, hearings, etc.
  • Oversee & support the development of student learning plans (504 plans, English Language Learner plans, Advanced Learning plans, MTSS plans, etc.).
  • Supervise activities at school conducted by school and community groups, as needed.
  • Oversee school assessments (ie: CMAS,NWEA,ACCESS, screenings & benchmarking) including coordination, scheduling, and training staff.
  • Organize and set up for school assemblies and parent presentations.
  • Act as the liaison between the school and various committees (ie: fundraising, technology).
  • Serve as an instructional leader for K-8 grades/contents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
