Assistant Professor (Research) We are searching for an experienced Assistant Professor (Research) at our Detroit campus location. Essential Functions (Job Duties): Faculty Position in Exercise Neuroscience and Pharmacology. The Department of Pharmacology at Wayne State University is inviting applications for a research-track (non tenure track) Assistant Professor position in exercise neuroscience and pharmacology. In this role, the successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain a research program in exercise biology and pharmacology related to diseases of the nervous system.

Responsibilities
Conduct research leading to the discovery of new knowledge
Publishing research findings in peer reviewed journals
Formulate and submit research grant proposals to support your
Collaborate with other scientists to conduct team based research
Train students and technicians in laboratory procedures
Participate in service to the department, school and university

Unique duties:

Qualifications:

Ph.D. or equivalent in biology, physiology, neuroscience or similar is required

6+ years of lab experience in fly exercise biology
