Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for move-in coordination, renewals, move-out coordination. Hybrid schedule available after the first 90 days in the office. Work from home 2 days a week!


Responsibilities

  • Exclusively work with Housing Assistance Program participants through the process of applying and processing paperwork.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the property management company.
  • Provide direct communication with and assistance to tenants.
  • Respond directly and immediately to property-related issues as they arise.
  • Utilize CRM to generate and deliver communications for tenants and other stakeholders.
  • Respond to requests from local governments and communities to ensure legal compliance in all managed properties.
  • Set-up and verify payment accounts for move-ins.
  • Accurately prepare lease renewal documents for review and signature by residents and DOA.
  • Move the resident into Propertyware and ensure that the resident, lease, charge and property data information is accurately entered.
  • Assist leasing team with move-in coordination.
  • Coordinate with Housing to complete HAP/RFTA packages, schedule initial inspections etc.
  • Assist in updating inventory status on all marketing platforms.
  • Other duties as needed.

Knowledge

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of property management procedures, including legal requirements
  • Experience using Propertware a plus
  • Experience in housing assistance programs is a plus

Skills and Abilities

  • Comfort creating reports and other materials using Microsoft Word and other tools
  • Detailed-oriented with a notable focus on ensuring and maintaining accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to communicate effectively and positively with current and potential tenants
  • Detail orientation, strong critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Personable and highly motivated with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail are required
  • Strong multi-tasking skills; must manage responsibilities under strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Education & Experience

  • Other licenses or certificates may be necessary, depending on company location
  • 1-3 years of previous experience working in property management
