Job Description:
Parabit is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to join our New York Team. Parabit is and has been experiencing explosive growth. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Access Control and Analog/IP Surveillance Systems. Knowledge or Door Lock/Exit Equipment; Magnetic Locks, Door Strikes, Touch Door Release Bars, Mechanical Door Release Bars, REX Motion, Exit Button and Key Override Switches and related power supplies. Knowledge of: PC based systems; Kiosks and Digital Signage and Analog Telephone equipment is preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide on-call phone, remote, and on-site support to service call requests and system installations.
- Set-up and/or attend client/internal meetings regarding installations and service.
- Write detailed proposals based on surveys and requirements made by you to fulfill the client s needs.
- Provide and maintain technical support for technicians, clients, and sales department.
- Coordinate and report on weekly staff meetings, project issues, and new policy/procedures.
- Formulate, research, plan, and target the control of costs and service-time spent on existing and new clients.
- Meet or exceed estimated profits based upon estimates provided by you.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the service department
- Establish and implement quality improvement programs.
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them
- Understands and follows work rules and procedures
- Other duties as assigned/required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Support and interface with customers, resellers and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage and resolve issues/problems and client requests quickly with details of what was reported, what was found upon inspection of the service call request, and what was done to repair the service request.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments/tasks.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Low Voltage License/Certification for NY and NJ (multi-states a plus)
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment in a safe, responsible and confident manner.
- Working knowledge of general construction and basic electronics
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends or holidays (on an on-call basis)
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Email.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
