Assistant Superintendent - 2nd Shift Maintenance Job at RiverStone Group, Inc.
RiverStone Group, Inc. is a leading producer of construction aggregates in the Midwest, and we are looking for the right individual to fill an opening for 2nd shift Assistant Quarry Superintendent at our Colona, IL quarry. The schedule will be 5 to 6 days per week (based on season) with a daily start time of 4 pm. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed.

Assistant Superintendent, Maintenance, major responsibilities include:
- Under the guidance of the Quarry Superintendent, direct and supervise all 2nd shift maintenance activities
- Audit existing maintenance plans and modify as required in an effort to strive for optimal efficiency of plant operations at all times.
- Repair and maintain all plant equipment as required.
- Properly follow all company policies and adhere to all governmental regulations
- Perform welding repairs and fabrication on all quarry equipment as required.
The ideal Assistant Superintendent, Maintenance, candidate will have:
- A focus on safety and a strong work ethic
- Strong team building skills
- Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment
- A strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in fabrication and welding
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability for repetitive foot movements for operation of foot controls
- Frequent exposure to excessive noise, dust, gas, fumes, chemicals, and all weather conditions
- Wearing a respirator may be required due to conditions
- Operating pick-up truck, haul truck, forklift, front end loader, skid steer and other heavy equipment/machinery
