Repair Supervisor (Thornton, Colorado - Full Time)
About Us: We’re an established outdoor industry company with locations in Colorado, Pennsylvania and Calgary, Canada. We provide warranty repair services for industry leading brands such as Patagonia, Canada Goose, Helly Hanson and much more.
Job Description:
Pay rate of $25 per hour. This is a 40hr per week position.
· Duties include supervising and leading a team of 10 to 20 employees.
· Direct reports include Sewing Technicians, Logistics Team Members and Quality Control Specialists.
· Manage the production team to ensure production and efficiency goals are met daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
· Training new sewers on all processes and repair best practices.
· Communicate with both internal and external leadership daily.
This is not your average sewing position, as every item is different, and the job requires as much problem solving and thinking as it does actual sewing. This position doesn’t require you to sew fast, but it does require a high-level technical proficiency. This position requires a lot of seam ripping.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating an INDUSTRIAL sewing machine required.
- Experience sewing in a professional capacity highly preferred.
- The ability to problem solve and think critically is required.
- A high level of technical proficiency is required — you must be excellent at fabric handing, able to maintain a seam allowance, know when to “force it” and when to “finesse it” etc.
